Re: Luxor for Personal Java

Hi Gerald and Damien,

If my memory is right, Personal Java is just some kind
good old jdk 1.1.8, no? There is a certain number of
dependencies that make luxor requiring a jdk 1.4. We
had a thread about that a few month ago.

Moreover, I think you can add Swing capabilities to
Personal Java simply by adding the swingall.jar that
is hanging around somewhere on the java.sun.com web
site.

If you are able to make Luxor running on Personal
Java, I'll be very interested to hear some feed back,
since I have a Zaurus with a Jeode Personal Java JVM
running on it and would love to run some luxor + soap
applications. :-)

Ntoe 1 : you may take a look at
http://www.mycgiserver.com/~thinlet/ . It works quite
well if you are happy with the pre-existing widget
toolkit.

About SWT : since there is some native code in it, I
don't think it will be suitable for mobile device
(Personal Java is more small device oriented), since
they all have different architecture. Please correct
me if I'm wrong.
