jdk HtmlEditorKit

Hi,

has anyone played with extending jdk's HtmlEditorKit?
It seem to be able to handle a lot of presentation
stuff, some styling, events, etc. If it is possible to
add some new tags and some namespace convention, it
shouldn't be too hard to mix in some xul stuff inside
and taking advantage of the HtmlEditorKit layouting
and html rendering.

Please give me yours comments / feedback !
