Class Introduction: Tom Dyer

Class intro:

My name is Tom Dyer. I live in North Chelmsford,MA.

I graduated from UMASS/Lowell with a BS in Computer Science, 94.

I've been playing with Struts for awhile now. Looking for a somewhat "real" 
project to use Struts. Evaluating Struts and other technologies to 
enhance/replace current homegrown frameworks.

Work Experience:

95 - 97 Ontos
Worked developing a proof of concept for a Multi-Level, Trusted Object Oriented 
DB. Mostly did C/C++ communication layer, sockets.... , developed a web front 
end for this OODB using CGI/Perl/Apache. All Unix dev.

97 -2000 Digital
Developed a distributed test harness, C++/TCK-TK/expect/, using the ACE 
framework. Also, wrote a LDAP layer, C++/SNACC/ASN.1, used for performance and 
diagnostics. All Unix dev.

2000- now Kronos
Kronos has a J2EE web app for time and attendence. Primary responsible is for 
web app/java security, but always involved in other areas of product, 
JSP/Servlet/logging/I18n/management... Developed some Win32 apps and DLLs used 
for HTTP/Smalltalk communication. Development 90% Java/J2EE on a Windows. Unix 
and Windows dev.
