According to the 1.2 javadoc the RequiredModelMBean
does not support persistence and the load and store
methods throw an MBeanException that wraps a
ServiceNotFoundException.

I think this is a mistake in the Javadoc.  It pertains to
the Reference Implementation, not to implementations in
general.  The PDF spec says (p72) that a RequiredModelMBean
implementation can support persistence, which I interpret as
meaning that the load() and store() methods would work on
such an implementation rather than throwing
UnsupportedOperationException.  So if MX4J already supports
persistence here, it should continue to do so.
