Hi, well, for the record I don't like Model MBeans as well, and I never felt they missed me. The spec is the spec, and we're implementing it. You can always subclass RequiredModelMBean and let the subclass implement NotificationListener. Hope helped, Simon -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Hung Nguyen Sent: Friday, March 05, 2004 2:50 To: [email protected] Subject: [Mx4j-devel] RequiredModelMBean not implementing NotificationListener Hi, Why does the JMX specs not require RequiredModelMBean to implement the NotificationListener interface? I have a scenario where I want my ModelMBean to execute some method based on a certain event. Currently it is not possible for a ModelMBean to listen for an event.
