Summary: ObjectName apply should alway be false if param is a pattern

Initial Comment:
The ObjectName apply() method should always return
false when the parameter supplied to it is a pattern.
Per the javadoc:

1. if name is a pattern the result is false
2. if this is a pattern the result is true iff name
matches this
3. if neither this nor name are patters the result is
this.equals(name)
