Initial Comment:
Nothing in the JMX specification says that an attribute
*must* be readable, writeable, or both. Such a
"valueless" attribute might just be a named place to
stash a Descriptor whose field values hold relevant
information. While this isn't recommended practice it
shouldn't be impossible.
