If I understand correctly, your client just needs to register as a listener
with the MBean that is sending the notification. How are you generating the
notification you want to send your client?

Subject: [Mx4j-user] help

Hi I am new to jmx and have a few questions.

I have the sample mx4j code running to start a Mbeanserver and a client.
The client registers and unregisters a Serverdelegate bean which cause a
notification to be sent for both. the notifications work and the client
handles the notification.

My question is that I want to send a notifcation from the server to the
client... how would i do this. I want the client to reconize the
notification sent from the server.

Someone told me the reason that the client doesn't see a notification sent
from the server is because they aren't on the same JVM, which is what i
want... so does anyone have a clue what I am doing wrong>

Thanks,
Brad
