Hi,

We have been using MX4J for a few years now with minor problem (see list
for details ;-) )

We've tried switching to JDK1.5 and using the system property
-Djavax.management.builder.initial=mx4j.server.MX4JMBeanServerBuilder
things have still worked.

What I understand this is doing is to get the JDK JMX to use MX4J for
the underlying components.

Now, we are looking to switch JMS providers and are looking at
Progress/SonicMQ ( http://www.sonicsoftware.com ).

With our current JMS provider (Fiorano) , we specified the Fiorano JNDI
naming/initial context and things all connected fine and we could use
our JMXConnectors too.

With Sonic, we now specify their naming service - which works for their
JMS objects, but gives a problem in the JMXConnectorFactory.connect
call.

We are still using MX4J 2.0.1 - so I will try the latest version of
MX4J.

Otherwise, anyone got any other ideas?

Thanks in advance,
