**Release Status**

NetBeans 3.3.1 is on track for release on Jan/25. The RC1 is expected
soon:

We entered high-resistence mode on Friday, which means that we will
focus on fixing only the most severe bugs and stabilize the codebase for

**New Contributions**

Sun contributed the Metadata Repository (MDR) module. It implements the
OMG's MOF (Meta Object Facility) standard based metadata repository and
itegrates it into the NetBeans Tools Platform.

Another contribution from Sun are two modules previously included in
