The development phase of NetBeans 3.4 is in it's second
half we reached Milestone 2 last week. You can track
progress on:

Some features are already available as prototype!
For example you can try preview of drag'n'drop in window
system (requires NetBeans dev. build and JDK 1.4):

Tom Ball from SunLabs plans to contribute new module,
which adds code metrics support to NetBeans!

Also, there is a new module Lexer on:

The purpose of the lexer module is to build a list
of tokens over the textual input.
