* A team to address NetBeans performance issues has been formed in Prague.
Top UI responsiveness issues were identified and presented at

was started about use of a "busy cursor" and progress monitors.

* A technique of periodic polling a ReferenceQueue causes VM to be waken
up periodically, thus preventing the application to be swapped out from
memory. Jarda Tulach suggested a solution which is still being discussed.

thinks "client runtime" is not a good one. Niclas Hedhman added a few
