NetBeans Governance Board: The Sun Board Member

I am pleased to announce the Sun member on the NetBeans Board.
The Sun rep on the board for the next board period will be Evan Adams.

Evan's bio follows:

Evan Adams, 46, Sun employee for nearly 20 years.  Worked
in tools my entire career -- compilers, debuggers,
source code control, team development and IDEs.  Original
author of Dbxtool, one of the first GUI interfaces to a
debugger, circa 1986.  Spent the last 3 years in Prague working
with the NetBeans team; came to Prague as a result of Sun's
acquisition of NetBeans and now returning back to California
next week.  In spring 2000 lead a team of Jesse Glick, Tim
Boudreau and Jack Catchpoole that coordinated the process
of opensourcing NetBeans, Sun's first sponsored open source
project. Since then, amongst other things, has been working
with Danese Cooper, Dick Gabriel and Ron Goldman to deal with
the corporate issues regarding Sun's participation in netbeans.org.
