Hello everyone,

The NNTP service for netbeans.org has moved from
news.netbeans.org to :

    news://news.gmane.org/

The old server has been shut down.

Apologies for the short notice (or rather notice after
the fact), but the issue was somewhat forced when the
old server was shut down before we were quite ready.

Gmane is a free mailing list to news gateway service,
run and hosted completely independently of netbeans.org
and CollabNet. The server hosts many mailing lists/
newsgroups, so you'll need to use your client to search
for groups named *netbeans*, for example :

news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.java.ide.netbeans.devel

Note that to adhere to Gmane's naming conventions, the
names of the newsgroups are not always exactly the same as
the names of the netbeans.org mailing lists, eg Gmane's
"netbeans.devel" vs [email protected], "netbeans.general"
vs nbdiscuss.

Also note that nbusers, which was set up as a test group,
is in a location not quite the same as other netbeans
groups - gmane.comp.java.ide.netbeans.user. It should
soon move to the more general gmane.comp.java.netbeans.user.
