Are you interested in some useful tips on how to count the number of
lines in a project ? The community discussed two approaches. The 
first one based on usage of (platform dependent) tools outside 
NetBeans and the second one based on NetBeans modules with
a capability to measure metrics (RefactorIT).

Some users were confused how to set up userdir and asked if there is
a related Windows registry key. The task can be simply solved by

Do we need CVS Connection Manager (a GUI for convenient maintaining

The Wednesday's nightly build (#200310010100) has been promoted as a

Yarda Tulach is going to merge another part of separation of 
openide. It concerns lib/openide.jar file which will be replaced in 
the resulting build by a bunch of lib/openide-*.jar files.

Petr Hrebejk plans a change related to looks (namely to 
lookSelectors). This is the first change from the set of changes
required by the team working on Projects and it resolves some

Svata Dedic has started a discussion regarding terminology: He asks
why a collection of projects, that make up the software system the 
user  is developing is called "A portfolio" and argues that the 
other products use terminology more common for task.
