The answer also contains good news from the first hands. Jiri Kovalsky 
tells us "that by tomorrow there will be a mechanism to answer yourself 
conveniently directly from the output window if some confirmation or question 
occurs." Not sure if this "tomorrow" has already passed, but 4.0 will
contain this functionality for sure.

As Michael Purdy points out, NetBeans lost the Java IDE poll battle. 
"That's because we're too busy "getting the job done" to respond;)"

Swapan Mazumdar and other users lack functionality to develop J2EE apps:

While NB _really_ lacks some of such functionality, other users give their 
positive experience in a thread. As Tarlika points out, it's not that hard
"to put NetBeans, Ant, XDoclet, JBoss and JUnit together".

Bryan E Boon wanted to use the latest NetBeans Q-Build running with WinXP 
Look & Feel and found some screen artifacts. There's a patch for 3.5.x
which resolves this last tiny problem:

If not Tim Dungeon wanted to customise a display of a custom property editor,
Tim Boudreau never found a bug of his own, fixed it and wrote a unit test.
However, the solution is still in a branch until new winsys is integrated:

Unit tests are good, but XTest for NetBeans 3.5.x doesn't support an ant 
newer than 1.4.1:

Strange we are, developers. First we want to have some near node selected
after the node deletion, now we come to think and see such behavoiur strage:
if we deleted something, how can anything stay selected after that?
NB can do it both ways at the same time depending on what you are deleting. 
Just write a few lines in your DeleteAction.
