The most interesting thing in NetBeans during the last week 
is for sure the release 3.2. Release candidate 1 was released 
on Monday, April 9th:

After RC1 we switched to 'review before commit' mode for checkins
into release 32 branch, and there were more than 50 messages that
announced the bugfixes on nbdev@.

RC2 was released on Friday, April 13th.

We still have 2 weeks to planed date of final release. RC3 
is planned probably on Friday April 20th the final release 
is planed for April 30.

Meg Garrison from Compaq Computer Corporation offered to create
packaging of release 3.2 for OpenVMS.

The discussion about new Upgrade Wizard on nbui is still going

While 3.2 is getting closer to the final release, discussion
about new features for 3.3 has already started:

In the discussion about the future of the Java Hierarchy API,
Svata Dedic mentioned that he is working on a project called 
MDR (metadata repository) that should be opensourced soon,
that aims at implementing JSR-40 and should allow to store 
metadata persistently.
