Can't connect to subversion repository

Many thanks guys. It's exactly as you say. I switched to CLI client, reinstalled tortoiseSVN ('cos I'd not requested  command-line tools when I originally installed the spoftware), and gave Netbeans its path in tools/options/team/versioning/subversion.

Works perfectly now. I now realise I was wrong suggesting that it had ever worked. I'm new to this stuff and when I saw the short-term versioning that's native to Netbeans I'd assumed this was coming from subversion. It's only now that sufficient time has passed for my early versions to "fall off the end".

I'd no idea Netbeans packaged up its own subversion client. Wonder if this is such a good idea....
