Is there any way to stop the scanning projects?

There should be built-in option to turn off project auto scanning and enable on-demand scanning.

Whenever I use svn from commandline, the netbeans auto-scan locks the database, which results in errors while merging or resolving conflicts - and I know it's the NetBeans fault, because after I close NB, there are not lockups during svn usage.
