hello, I create simple framework RobotJ similar to turtle graphics. Robot understand commands e.g.: forward(), penUp(), penDown(), setColor(), right(), left(), etc. Robot lives in desktop where he moves and draws. Idea of robot is taken from my college teacher Andrej Blaho at Comenius University in Bratislava. He is co-author of projects Comenius Logo and Imagine (http://www.logo.com/imagine/). For now programming language for robot projects is java. But there is no problem connect script language to robot API. I am also writting pascal interpreter in java but for now there is no stable version... RobotJ is based on 2 netbeans modules (robot API, robot IDE). Project home page is http://code.google.com/p/robotj/ Some sample project codes: http://code.google.com/p/robotj/wiki/SampleProjects Screenshots: http://code.google.com/p/robotj/wiki/Screenshots Update repository: http://robotj.easyedu.eu/updates.xml This is first public preview and there is lot of work to do... My idea is to write open source IDE based on turtle graphics and good learning programming language (pascal, java) to teach children algorithmic thinking and programming skills... ;) If you interested or have some ideas and questions, please feel free to contact me... m.
