Not everything has a hidden agenda :-p I know but I just never liked giving away more information than it's necessary. How would you think if for every "send report" on Windows XP (I dunno if Vista has it), Microsoft would get a list of your entire history of user actions ? Does the error report include only the UI gestures in the last, say 2 minutes before the exception ? Or the UI gestures collected so far ? Because if it's the former then ok, my mistake, if not, the report is giving away too much info. Of course, a step forward would be a checkbox *not* to send the UI gestures... --emi > > Wade > > ================== > Wade Chandler, CCE > Software Engineer and Developer, Certified Forensic Computer Examiner, NetBeans Dream Team Member, and NetBeans Board Member > http://www.certified-computer-examiner.com > http://wiki.netbeans.org/wiki/view/NetBeansDreamTeam > http://www.netbeans.org > > > > ----- Original Message ---- >> From: Emilian Bold <[email protected]> >> To: [email protected] >> Sent: Thursday, July 24, 2008 10:32:09 AM >> Subject: [nbdiscuss] Why are UI gestures also sent with an error report ? >> >> Hy, >> >> Just got some refactoring exception and I saw the new (to me) dialog >> to send the error report (which also has a netbeans.org login >> option-nice!). >> >> Only that it seems that the UI gestures are tied to that. >> >> How come ?
