Starting from *Monday, November 2nd to Monday, November 9th*, the
NetBeans Team will be migrating NetBeans.org to a new infrastructure.
The move is intended to improve the site's performance and services. For
example, after the update NetBeans.org users will be able to access the
site's services (Wiki, Issuezilla, Source Code Management, Mailing
Lists, etc.) with a single sign-on.
*The migration will begin at 17:00 CET, November 2nd, and will be
completed at 00:01 CET, November 9th*.
Given the scope of the migration, the following NetBeans.org services
will be affected during the event:
* All NetBeans.org mailing lists will be unavailable.
* The NetBeans wiki <http://wiki.netbeans.org/> will be switched to
"read-only mode".
* Issuezilla will be available from a different url:
http://qa.netbeans.org/issues/. However, any changes made during
this period will NOT be propagated to the new bug tracking system.
* The hg.netbeans.org service will not be affected except for a
short outage on Sunday, November 8th from 14:00 - 15:00 CET
NetBeans downloads, static NetBeans.org (html) content, Planet NetBeans
<http://planetnetbeans.org/> and the NetBeans Forums
<http://forums.netbeans.org/> will NOT be impacted by the migration and
will continue to function normally. Once the migration is complete, the
affected services will be reactivated.
After the migration, registered NetBeans.org users will receive an email
that contains their new login and temporary password, including
instructions <http://wiki.netbeans.org/NewNBFirstSteps> for accessing
the new site.
If you have any questions about the upcoming site migration, please
contact us at /webmaster at netbeans dot org/. You can also visit the
NetBeans.org Migration FAQ wiki <http://wiki.netbeans.org/NewNBOrg>.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused.
Thank you.
The NetBeans Team
