According to the NetBeans Governance page [1] on the netbeans.org Web
site, members of the governance board serve six-month terms. However,
the last election was held in October 2009 [2], so there should have
been elections in March 2010 [3]. This did not take place as
scheduled, nor was any reason for the delay provided. Consequently,
the elections are more than one year past due and the current state of
community governance in the NetBeans project is unclear.

Therefore, I request that the previously-elected governance board
define a reasonable timeline for holding the election. The process
for elections is described clearly [4] on the netbeans.org site.

Best regards,
