IMO there're two issues:
1. "Friend" APIs are enemies - You can only use them relying on 
implementaion version, needing to redeploy plugins after every update of 
such an enemy.
2. Time is often limited, if the employer doesn't decide to sponsor the 
NB project - so it's a problem, if information is also hard to find 
(well, this is a big organizational problem: there's a huge amount of 
docs, but it's sometimes hard to find the information when You need it). 
Blog organization is nice sometimes (if You're looking for something 
newly designed which You remember of having read that), but sometimes 
useless (if the relevant story is rather old). So, sometimes, looking 
for docs already stops a project.
