Re: Question: Install netbeans 8.0.2 on Ubuntu

My guess is that there is something wrong with the Ubuntu packaging of the
JDK. It is not clear whether you have the JDK or just the JRE.

I would install/reinstall the JDK directly from

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html

and then try the netbeans install again.
