Java Software Engineer

Informatics Matters Ltd. (Oxford, UK) is looking for a talented Java 
Software Engineer, either full-time or part-time. We, together with our 
US partner Managed Ventures LLC, build software for Life Science 
organizations globally. More information is available at

position would be based in the UK, but projects would be in the UK and 
the US.

The ideal candidate is able to work on extreme projects with tight 
deadlines and a willingness to go the extra mile when necessary. This is 
an unstructured environment where developers work independently from one 
another but all contribute to the same goal. Developers can work from home.

We have current projects that are based on the Netbeans platform, and on 
the Struts framework. The attributes we are seeking are:

Independent Worker
Production Enterprise Systems Experience
Advanced J2EE ability
Good communicator
Models concepts to well document abstracted designs.
Strong EJB or Enterprise patterns experience
Advanced Swing, Middle and Backend Tier building a plus
Any applications experience based on the Netbeans platform a plus
Ant, CVS, Bugzilla experience
JSP, Struts
Self Motivated
Accessible and able to achieve project goals
Non 9-5 mentality
Some experience with life science projects (chemistry or biology)
