Hereafter somes DID YOU KNOW ? ideas:

    /DID YOU KNOW there is a new way how to register JDBC driver in NB
    3.6 ? /
        Now it is possible to load the driver from any location, it is
    not necessary to put it to the <nb>/lib/ext directory anymore.
        You just need to register the driver within the IDE.
        To do that right-click Drivers node and choose Add driver action.
        Specify required informations and your driver will appear under
    drivers node.

        For more information, see Database Explorer help in the IDE or
    look at
        http://db.netbeans.org/uispecs/db_jdbc_driver_manager.html

    /DID YOU KNOW you can ask to debugger to stop on exceptions ? /
        Go to the breakpoints window, right click, New Breakpoint,
        in the dropdown on the right choose Exception,
        change option below to thrown or caught, and pick your exception
    class.
        If you want everything, choose "Throwable".

    /DID YOU KNOW you can map public URIs to system locations to evit
    always internet traffic ?/

        Try creating (use New | XML | OASIS XML Catalog) and mounting
    (under Runtime | XML Entity Catalogs)
        an XML Catalog which maps public URIs to system locations.
        I've done this for JBoss DTDs with an OASIS Catalog like this:
        <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
        <catalog xmlns="urn:oasis:names:tc:entity:xmlns:xml:catalog">
            <rewriteSystem
            systemIdStartString="http://www.jboss.org/j2ee/dtd/"
            rewritePrefix="file:/C:/Programme/jboss-3.0.3/docs/dtd/"
            />
        </catalog>

        Looking at the properties of the provided 'Depl.Desc.Catalog'
        I've got the impression this should work for XML schemas as well
    using a prefix of 'SCHEMA:' for the public ID
        (haven't tried it though).

    */DID YOU KNOW What does the JSP Validation ?/
    As far as I know, the Validation action does :
        - the syntax analysis of jsp tags/directives like <%@page ...%>
    etc.
        - the check whether taglibs are available for JSP (if taglib uri
    attribute is correctly specified)
        - the syntax analysis of taglib tags (the tag names, the
    mandatory attributes etc.)
        (may be more)

        Validation does not :
        - the syntax analysis of html tags
        - checking the content of java scriptlets (content of <%
    ............... %>)
        - checking the existence of beans (in <jsp:useBean>,
    <jsp:getProperty>, ...)
        - checking the existence of expression language variables ${x}
        (may be more)

Also somes testimonals about NB3.6 Beta

    /Just a quick public note to all the developers and peopleinvolved
    with 3.6:Absolutely incredible job!Love the D&D tabs, speed
    improvements, tomcat5 debugging integration most especiallythe
    tag-pair highlighting.The price is great too! I will be donating to
    the cause.One of the hardest goals - IMHO - issimplifying
    softwareand NB 3.6 nails it.

    /I just downloaded it and its running great. i love the new IDE
    features. performance appears to be much better by an order of
    magnitude.

/Hi! I have to share this with all of you :))))) I just read shortcuts.pdf and found Shift+Escape. I have to say, I LOVE NetBeans more and more ... :)))) Thanks to all of you who contributed to it. :))

P.S.: I just would like to find/have some developer's tutorial like The
Java Tutorial that I could write some of my own modules.

NetBeans Rocks !

I suppose the best is to ask to those people if you can use their
testimonal for the Sprout issue.
