One minor comment - in my recent dabbling in SEO, I learned that using 
multiple forms of the domain name may harm page rank and visibility in
the long run.  Eg using both of these forms :

http://www.netbeans.org/
http://netbeans.org/

*might* damage the page rank of both.  Google allows us to set a preferred
domain, which in theory avoids this, but it is probably safest to always
stick with one format of the URL.  I would suggest we always use the full,
www version.
