Re: problem with updating binary files

Are you adding the file as binary? Anytime you put a binary file in
CVS, it needs to get the '-kb' property. The command would look like:


cvs add -kb a.doc

Afterwards it is treated by updates, commits, and other commands as a
binary file. If you've already added a file as text and want to
change it, run this on the file: 

cvs admin -kb a.doc

You'll have to delete the directory that the file is in and
re-checkout it, since the 'admin' command doesn't change the local
information about the file, only the remote info.
