JavaCVS and SSH

So, I've been searching this list for information, but there is very 
little available.  The Javadocs for the CVSRoot class refer to a 
connection class called SSH2Connection, but no such class exists in the 
library.

There seems to be an implementation that was submitted, but is not 
merged in, using J2SSH.  There also seems to be a discussion about 
changing to JCSH since that is what the Ant project is using now.

I'm working on a project which will require SSH/CVS.  I've been a Java 
developer since 1997.  I would be happy to help/take 
on/finish/test/research this topic, if someone will fill me in on what 
the status and/or plan is.
