Not able to find the documentation link for connecting to CVS using "ext" protocol

Hi Team,

I was searching for the documentation to connect CVS using 'ext' method
through the javacvs api  similar to the way I connect in netbeans but not
able to find related information in the site, my CVS Root file looks like:
:ext:<user name>@<server name>:/test/test.

I will appreciate if someone can help me out , I wanted to use the javacvs
api in my home grown tool to checkout the cvs files locally.
