[Offtopic] jmi-comments and JMI/MOF mailing lists (was Re: MORE QUESTIONS: copy of JMI extents)

Anybody can send comments there. Only the JMI expert group members can 
read the messsages. Generally, one of the JMI expert group members will 
reply to you privately if they want some clarification on your comments. 
If you try to reply to [email protected] then it will be sent back to 
you with a message along the lines of "do not reply to jmi-comments". At 
least, that was my experience.

I usually ask questions on the [email protected] mailing list (and 
sometimes [email protected]) because it at least has some level of 
bi-directional, non-exclusive communication. Pete Rivette (from 
Adaptive), Sridhar Iyengar (from IBM), Ravi Dirckze (from Unisys), and 
Gene Mutschle (from Unisys), and others all subscribe to that list and 
most or all of them or JMI expert group members and OMG MOF RTF members.

The worst thing about the DSTC mailing lists is the moderation. 
Sometimes it takes days for a message to show up on the list, apparently 
due to moderation lag. The second-worst thing is that all the spam that 
gets sent to the mailing list still shows up in the archives, which 
makes them hard to wade through.
