I think that Andrew had problem with MDR before the JMI interfaces were 
put on Autoupdate. At that time you had to build the JMI interfaces and 
install them yourself (because of legal issues) and after that install 
the MDR modules from autoupdate. This was explained on our 
http://mdr.netbeans.org/installation.html page, but many people did not 
know that and thus had problems. The problem is solved as finally we 
were able to release also JMI interfaces.
