The latest Poseidon version (currently in beta programme available from our website) is supporting only a part of the UML 2.0 specification, namely the diagram interchange. The specification of it has been added to the xmi file describing the UML 1.4 specification. It is possible because the diagram interchange is an independent package and its specification is making almost no use of new features available in MOF 2. This way MDR is able to read the metamodel xmi file and create a repository from it.
