No, I don't have access to an Oracle installation.  If someone can 
provide one, I'd be glad to test with it.  I haven't done any testing 
with application servers like JBoss; should it make any difference?

Until it gets into netbeans cvs, the latest source code is available 
from my Perforce server.  For details on how to access my server, see 
the "Get the Source Code" topic of the Farrago developer page:

The Perforce path to the MDR JDBC persistence code is

//open/farrago/src/org/netbeans/mdr/persistence/...

Instructions are in the jdbcimpl/package.html file.
