need help with build

I used to be able to build mdr by following the instructions on this page:

http://mdr.netbeans.org/installation.html

When I tried just now, it failed.  For some reason, after doing

cvs co standard_nowww

all of the directories under openidex/looks are just skeletons (no Java 
sources, and no build.xml).  So later when I try to build mdr, it fails. 
  Has something changed?  What am I doing wrong?
