Hi,
The <xmi.extension> mechanism is there to enable storing proprietary
information in the same file as other XMI elements.
The <xmi.extension> is still not supported and it is not planned to be
supported. By saying it is not supported I mean that the MDR does not
store the <xmi.extension> information and thus it does not write it to
the XMI file if you export a model that originally contained it. You
still can import the XMI files that contain the <xmi.extension> tags -
these tags will just be ignored.
Nothing holds you from storing some proprietary information in separate
files - this information will just not be accessible using MDR.
Regards,
Martin
