RE: [mdr-users] Saving a class model in XMI using netbean's MDR

 Hi Verkant,

 the modeling-tool that you use must have a function to export your
class model into a xmi-file.
The cost free Posidon UML-Tool Community edition(www.gentleware.com) has
this function. You just have to draw your class model, and than use the
function  "Export Project to xmi..." in the File-Menue
(mind the checkbox and save it without diagram data). Than you must convert
the xmi-file with the UML-model of your Metadata into the MOF-standard.
Therefor you can use the uml2mof-tool, that you can download at the
mdr.netbeans-website. The resulting xmi-File can be imported into the
nbmdr. There is an example for that approach at the following link :

  To your other question, I don't think that you can load source code into
the nbmdr. You just can generate Java Interfaces that provide the access to
your metadata-objects in the nbmdr.
