I don't think there is any use for that, it's probably a bug.

Turns out that my test application is now fixed with Graeme's suggestion, but the full app still has the problem. Nevertheless, this gives me the chance to find out the difference between my test app and the full app, so I hope to be able to solve this problem now.

I'll also convert all PNGs to GIFs, if that is perhaps the reason why the app doesn't start correctly for everyone.
