Quite a few large Oracle products make use of the NetBeans Platform,
e.g. this is an important one:

https://www.oracle.com/tools/developerstudio/index.html

And those kind of tools are developed in NetBeans IDE. Also, several
large Oracle partners make use of the NetBeans Platform and NetBeans IDE.

On the other hand, we really do need to make use of this opportunity and
get everyone involved in one way or another, large or small, in Apache
NetBeans, to drive it forward together.

Plus, working on a meaningful project like NetBeans is fun. :-)
