NB 8.2 What is the difference between app.exe and app64.exe when you use a 64 bit JRE ?

Thank you for your answers. Yea - there are many ways to Rome. My biggest unknown is if there is a fundamental need for one or the other. Naive question is fx. if the 32 bit app.exe is happy to launch a 64 bit JVM based RCP app - what purpose does the app64.exe have ?
