If you want to publish your plugin without putting it in the update center you can do that pretty quickly here

Hi,

We have developed quite a big module for NetBeans, ANT based, if that is relevant to my question.

My question is, how do I get it listed in modules portal and make it eligible for update functionality of NetBeans, as for example mariewb's plugin:

I could not find how by googling, nor in the "nbp4beginners" book. There is a "Auto Update Services API" chapter in "The Definitive Guide to NetBeans Platform 7", but I am not sure if it still relevant, and whether it is for apps based on the platform or for actual plugins.

Please provide some relevant links for me to look at.
