Hello Bernd, How come when you paste the URL on the location bar of the browser you get a 404 and pasting it somewhere else it doesn't? can you try to wget the file to see what's the server response? Do you know what server does your provider have? maybe they set up directory-level access rules to only be able to GET certain types of file extensions.
