A log file would be super helpful if you feel like someone should do something ;) (at least I couldn't see one attached to the issue linked)
You can follow this: http://wiki.netbeans.org/FaqLogMessagesFile to find it. It's probably in `/Users/joe/Library/Application Support/NetBeans/8.2/var/log/messages.log`
