NB Module using Maven not exposing Properties in IDE

I'm refactoring an available 7.1 plugin for NB 8.2, but I can't add it
to the Plugins Directory because it is missing Plugin Author,
Description, and License information.

On netbeans.org, during upload, the wiki page FaqPluginRequirements is
linked to and details on how to address the gaps are provided, but...

Properties > Build > Packaging *is not* available in the Maven Module
project. It appears to be available in the Ant project however.

Is this a bug? Is there a workaround?

I think the answer to the latter is provided in the wiki, but the
formatting desires a lot of improvement, e.g., if one is going to
provide XML snippets, blockquote them and add some context, don't
/one-line/ the expectations.

Any suggestions or good online resources, blogs, e.g., the community
may know how to address manually in a Maven project.
