IIRC, HIE who insisted on this artificial limitation did never explained 
or even proved the reasons for it. Note that even MS Word has 3-level 
inheritance for character attributes (character -> paragraph style -> 
style in template).

That is not to object against that having "runtime" on CCBT is weird - I 
will keep this issue opened for NetBeans for Developers.
