Only when the config file is saved (and there was a change in the value of of the one configuration element that I propose is presented in the profile editor) is when the profile editor dialog will reflect the change made in the config file. Yes, the user can freely edit the config file even if the profile editor is closed .. the profile editor will just be another way to launch the config file editor (mainly for the purpose of changing the one value). > > > My personal opinion is that if something is so large so it does not > fit in a small window - and particularly if it is edited in Source > Editor, it is so important for the project to be presented somewhere > in the project Explorer tree. > > The way I understood your proposed, the user will get something in the > Editor, which is nowhere to be found in the explorer window - unlike > all other editors in the IDE. No, the editor will be able to be launched from the project explorer tab, I think the proposal now is to have at least a context menu item to launch it from the project node. > > > A question: since the configuration file is (as I understood the > explanation) not a few lines, can two Web App profiles share the same > config file ? Sorry for such stupid question, I never coded webapps :-) Hmm.. no, I don't think this will be the case. Each time you create a web module project, it will have a new config file associated with it.(since deploying two web modules to the same context root - as specified in the config file - is not allowed) Perhaps you can copy paste it from another web module project, but they would still be two separate instances. -Ann > > > Cheers, > -Svata > > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] > For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected] >
