Do you mean to add a small "badge" to the data object icons for
each file?

That might be possible. Can you file an enhancement request? I'm
not sure if I'm allowed to badge only nodes that I control, or if
I can grab "foreign" nodes (e.g. those in the java module or
html module) and badge them as well.
