I use the "Rule Set" customizer from the NB PMD module (when you
right click on a rule in the suggestions window, the second or
third context menu brings up a dialog where you can customize
the rules checked).  However, it's generally possible to substitute
a new PMD library version and keep the old NB PMD module; I would
have done that except the 1.1 release had changed the supporting
jars, so I felt I should check it more, and I didn't have time
for that last night.
