By the way, are you trying to permanently filter / exclude other suggestion types such that you have a view dedicated to your own suggestion type? Filtering is probably not the best approach for this. Is this an IDE type of application, or simply a platform-usage of NetBeans? If it's an IDE you probably want to let users see other suggestions too, so you probably really want your own "suggestion" view. Look at the Scan action in the suggestions view - this creates standalone views (these are not kept "live" in terms of edit events however). You'd probably need some other APIs made public etc. to make this practical, but it may be a better approach.
